Halo

As we know at Comic-Con in San Diego this year Neil Blomkamp and Peter Jackson made an appearance to talk about 'District 9'. Jackson also made a talk about how 'The Hobbit' was coming on and also spoke of the 'Halo' movie which after months of working on, eventually collapsed due to legal reasons and the such. At the time Neil Blomkamp said that he would not direct the film if it ever got made, and this may well be true, but the film seems to have picked itself up, dusted off and got back to where it vaguely left off.

It is true that Blomkamp is no longer attached to it which is a shame after the fantastic 'District 9', however it looks like the movie is set for 2012..so a little while yet.

Stuart Beattie and Alex Garland are still writing an Jackson remains as one of the producers with Weta closely guarding the models and armour that have already been built...so just got to wait and see who will direct.

Coraline

The stop-motion feature film from Nightmare Before Christmas director Henry Selick now has it's trailer up on the quicktime website and available in HD!

watch the Trailer

It's the story of a young girl who lives in a mundane world and finds a doorway to an alternate reality which is more exciting, colourful and all round great...but things start to take a nasty turn....oh yeah and people have buttons for eyes!

Although it shows signs of being very similar to N.B.C it's based on a book by Neil Gaimen and anyone that is familiar with his work will know how bizarre much of it is. I'm a big fan of his and have read the book so this should be pretty good hopefully!
i'll keep a look out for anything that comes along.
